My name is Chantel Niven, Chief Consultant and Owner of Wolves & Willow Consulting. This business was established to support Chapter 22 of the Umbrella Final Agreement and TRC Calls to Action #92, emphasizing economic healing & participation, self-reliance, and systems change. By aligning Indigenous knowledge with Western HR practices, we strive to connect individuals and organizations to the purpose embedded in these agreements.
My Story
Chantel Niven is of Northern Tutchone, Tlingit, and Filipino ancestry. She is a proud member of Selkirk First Nation belonging to the Wolf clan. She is a mother, wife, daughter, auntie, and friend. Her passion for supporting and uplifting Indigenous people as they pursue success and self-determination is at the heart of her professional journey.

Chantel has held various leadership roles and gained experience in many sectors, including mining reclamation, telecommunications, healthcare, and non-profits. She brings diverse expertise in human resources, leadership development, health and safety, and employee engagement, including Indigenous-led recruitment and retention strategies.
Chantel’s academic background is in Renewable Resource Management and Business Administration. She is currently in her final year of pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Indigenous Business Leadership at Simon Fraser University. As a Yukon First Nation woman, she believes people, purpose and partnership are fundamental to good business and well-being.
